ADR-ODR International Accredited Civil-Commercial Mediator.
Family Resolution Member
I achieved a First Class Honours in Law from the University of Bedfordshire in 2015 and was awarded highest achiever of the year. I went on to study a Master’s in International Commercial Arbitration and Dispute Resolution in 2016. The following year, I completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University in London, Holborn. I was nominated as Rising Star of 2017 for the Society of Asian Lawyers Annual Awards & Ball.
I am currently a trainee solicitor at Neves Solicitors LLP. Prior to joining Neves, I worked as a paralegal within private family law for two years. In addition, I worked within academic support and as a supply lecturer in a college for a year. Further to this, whilst studying at college and university, I worked as a pharmaceutical assistant for four years and an estate development coordinator for year; I therefore acquired basic knowledge in these areas.
I inform parties from the outset that the aim of mediation is to reach the aimed settlement. I facilitate dialogue between parties and assure parties they are in control of the settlement reached. I ensure parties are given the opportunity to raise all their concerns and I maintain an empathetic and considerate approach throughout sessions. I encourage parties to make offers and reflect on the pragmatics of their offer.
My friendly and reassuring characteristic enables me to build trust quickly allowing me to gain an understanding of the issues promptly. I remain impartial as a mediator and do not impose judgments at any point. In addition, I am able to accommodate parties by being available for mediation on weekends and evenings if required.
